My name is Karen Wiederhold and i'm a published freelance yarn and general craft designer living in Gloucestershire, UK.
I was born to my Scottish parents and raised in South Africa before moving to the UK in my 30's. My heritage is Scottish, Swedish and Finnish so in combination with living in England it makes for a diverse interest in styles to inspire my creations.
My interest in knitting, crochet and embroidery began at a very young age and being creative and crafting is a large part of what makes me who I am.
I live with my husband and enjoy our adult children and grandchild who visit from their own homes during travels for work, coming home from university or from overseas.
I took a short design break for about two years to focus on studies, and returned to designing in early 2020 with new ideas for projects and patterns for Weediflower Creations.
